Who are The Travelling Passports?
We are a Scottish-German family of four – Karen, Stefan, Conor and Jack. Between us we have 7 passports and love travelling to new and familiar places. Recently we have been to France, the USA, the Netherlands and Wales, as well as Germany and Scotland of course.
In the last 5 years we have gone from travelling as a couple to a family of three and now to a foursome.
Even before we met, Stefan and I were frequent fliers so we were no strangers to travelling, airports and airlines’ rules. But once our first son came along we had to learn how to travel with a child and 3yrs later with two.

1. How can We afford to travel so often?
We can’t! We always search for the best bargains and won’t book anything unless we know we can cancel free of charge if we find a better deal or we don’t book until we know we have found the best price.
3. What are your dream destinations?
We went to New Zealand on our honeymoon and would love to go back. Other countries on the list include Canada, Australia, Japan and Vietnam.
2. What’s your top tip for anyone booking a holiday?
Use third party websites to check for the cheapest hotel or flight but always book directly with the provider. If you book through another website you won’t always be able to collect loyalty points and sometimes the providers have special deals for people booking directly with them.
4. What has been your favourite holiday so far?
Our favourite holiday as a couple was definitely our honeymoon in New Zealand with our trip to Abu Dhabi in 2024 a close second. As a family we’d definitely chose our 5 week trip to Florida in 2023.
